The Channel 4 Annual Report is a key communication that reflects the channel’s commitment to innovative, experimental, distinctive and diverse programming. Available in print and online the challenge was to create a report that connects with a wide audience from Parliament to media to new recruits.

To reflect this year's mission of ‘investing in innovation’ we added an extra layer of content – audience Tweets, statistics, opinions and infographics were packed onto a factline that wove through the entire report. The factline formed a huge data visualisation that supported the boundary-pushing content and referenced the fact that audience relationships and the ways people are viewing, sharing and commenting on television, are changing.
Result
A multifaceted printed report with an editorial feel, catered for light and heavy readers and multiple audiences. The responsive website complemented the printed document, provided further outreach across all devices and created an engaging platform to showcase Channel 4 video content. See the real thing here.
