  • How do you find a great idea?

That’s the question we’re asking in the new Bisqit newspaper which landed with a thud outside the office this morning.

The paper features recent work from us, accompanied by our philosophy on finding that elusive idea.
So how do you find a great idea? Well that would be telling!

If you'd like a copy of the paper, please drop Sophie a line at [email protected].

  • Our favouite logos...

There’s been a lot of chat on the designer-blog part of the internet of late speculating on the greatest logo of all time. This was started by Creative Review, who dedicated their April issue to the subject. At Bisqit we asked ourselves the same question, but took a slightly different tack...

Creative Review voted the Woolmark as the greatest of all time. We did have this on our list at one point but there was no way we could make it out of balloons.

  • Postcards from Bisqit

The Bisqits set off on a cultural outing and found these – ‘Postcards from Vegas’ by Rob and Nick Carter, an exhibition at The Fine Art Society. The artists have juxtaposed postcards they collected in the 60s and 70s with remade miniature neon signs from Las Vegas. The combination creates some very interesting and sometimes amusing compositions.

Running with the theme is Gilbert & George’s ‘Urethra Post Card Art’ at White Cube. It comprises 564 pieces made up of souvenir postcards and massage calling cards the artists have collected over 40 years. The cards are arranged in sets of thirteen to form the symbol of the urethra. The pieces are arranged into seven groups each based on a theme from British landmarks to selling sex – each piece curious it its own right and striking from a distance.

  • It’s raining wolves and vampires....

Being a newbie here at Bisqit I think I may have scared my fellow colleagues by revealing my love for the Twilight saga (ok well the character Edward Cullen) when my new umbrella arrived at the office…

  • Bisqit celebrations and congratulations!

We’ve got two very good reasons to celebrate this week at Bisqit as creative director Matt is getting married tomorrow and designer Gareth is 30 today (or twenty ten as he likes to put it). Thanks boys, you’ve given us all a legitimate reason to head to the bar and throw open a bottle of bubbly or two!

A suitable Bisqit tribute to Matt and Lizzie. Congratulations guys! (Lots of people have popped in to the office to wish you well)
