  • City & Guilds Lion Awards 2012

Last night Bisqit's 'Team City & Guilds' swapped black jeans for black ties and hit the red carpet. Michail, Dan and I were lucky enough to attend the City & Guilds Lion Awards at Camden's Roundhouse, where they recognized the success of City & Guilds learners and tutors. We were joined for the evening hosted by Alex Jones by some of our H+K colleagues who were likewise looking very glam (yes we mean you - Sally Domingo-Jones!).

Experiencing the City & Guilds brand translated as an event and hearing the inspirational stories of the learners and tutors really brought the brand to life for us. And having just completed a 6-month brand strategy and guidelines project for City & Guilds it was the perfect time for us to let our hair down and celebrate with our colleagues and client. Needless to say - there are a few sore heads in the office today (Michail!)...

    Congratulations to all the winners!

  • An engaging brand transformation

Kameleon are a brand engagement agency, their goal is to transform consumer opinions of brands through the creation of branded content that people want to spend time with. Having outgrown their current identity they needed a brand that reflected their key values; engagement, ideas, and transformation.

At the heart of the brand is a new logo – both an abstract ‘K’ and a visual reference to transformation. This, coupled with an engaging tone of voice and contemporary graphic language to fully reflect the positioning.

The new brand has been rolled out across all marketing material including website, stationery, templates and their fanstastic trend spotting twitter.

  • Friendly Fires at Cannes

Our first year at the Cannes Lion International Festival of Creativity saw us creating one of the most talked about parties of the festival on behalf of SayMedia. At the beautiful Plage du Festival, we constructed a modern tent canopy with open sides, using the beauty of the beach as the backdrop to the party.

The DJ flown in from New York had everyone warmed up as the main entertainment of the night, Friendly Fires, took to the stage. With the clear blue skies and sea lapping behind them and 800 people jumping up and down in front of them, the setting was idyllic. Whilst more delegates queued at the door Friendly Fires took the house down with their energy and showmanship, the lead singer bounced around the stage and into the crowd making it all the way to bar before being engulfed by the crowd.

Amazing music in an amazing setting, the party was a huge success and we’re looking forward to next year!

  • The icing on the cake

Here’s a little snack we were treated to before a board presentation in Cairo last week. I think that means our client likes the brand we created for them!

  • SABIC Annual Report 2010

Hot off the press, we’ve just taken delivery of our latest annual report for SABIC, the sixth report we’ve produced for them. This year’s report reflects SABIC’s ‘Culture of innovation’ by the bold use of laser foils and varnish treatments, with the year’s success stories and manufacturing capabilities demonstrated throughout by our new location shoot, taking in Europe, Saudi Arabia, India, China and the USA. To add to the challenge, the report is printed in both English and Arabic versions.
